Not Han Ji-min, but Karina – Jannabi’s Surprise Collaboration for New Track ‘In the Name of Love’
On April 21, Jannabi’s official channels teased their fourth track with a short clip featuring part of the lyrics “Because your unyielding smile is our pride” and a gentle melody that hinted at a sentimental, emotionally rich tune. The teaser revealed Karina’s name in the featuring credits, sparking a wave of curiosity and excitement online.
Netizens flooded comment sections with reactions like: “Is it April Fool’s Day today?”, “Karina? Seriously?”, and “This unexpected combo makes me even more hyped.”
This collaboration is part of Jannabi’s upcoming fourth full-length album, set to release on April 28 at 6 PM (KST), marking their return after nearly two years since their 2023 single “PONY.” The album also commemorates the band’s 11th debut anniversary, making it even more special for long-time fans.
Known for their poetic lyricism and vintage-inspired sound, Jannabi a group formed by peers born in the year of the monkey (1992)—debuted in 2014 with “Rocket”. Since then, they’ve released hits like “For Lovers Who Hesitate,” “Hot Summer Nights,” and the famously long-titled track “Did We Love, or Was It Just a Fleeting Connection?” cementing their place in the Korean music scene.
Adding to the excitement, Jannabi will hold their “All the Boys and Girls” concert at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium on April 26–27 and May 3–4. The band also plans to tour in Gwangju and Daegu, bringing their nostalgic energy and rich sound to fans across the country.
